INSTALLED AND WORKING!
As reported last month, the Sound System Replacement for the church reached its fundraising target of £25,579, the contract for the installation of the new system was placed and work started on Monday 8th June while the church was still locked down.
I’m very happy to report that the work was completed on Saturday 20th June and demonstrated to Peter Rowan, who Project Managed the installation for the church. Peter says that the sound is fantastic, and all the way round the church. It looks very good as well, and you really have to search to find the speakers. The old system has also been removed (thanks again to Peter and to John Collacott who helped him).
There are some pictures on the Church Gallery at this link, of Chris Shaw, from Alive Church Systems Ltd, while he is doing the work, and others of the speakers fitted to the walls.
Many thanks to Peter for overseeing this work to a successful conclusion. I would be very grateful for any feedback you have once you have heard the system. Please email me at email@example.com, as we need to give some feedback to the charities that have made generous donations to help us.
