Parish Church Celebrates New Sound System
A sophisticated new sound system is being celebrated by Tavistock Parish Church.
Installed by Alive Church Systems Ltd, it will provide high quality sound throughout St Eustachius’ for worshippers and concert audiences alike. The system has been discreetly placed with respect for the interior of the beautiful 700-year-old church.
Spokesman Martin Pendle said: ‘The congregation and the community are enormously grateful to Allchurches Trust, which has contributed £1,800 for the system, and also to Morris Brothers, the local independent funeral director of Tavistock, for their generous donation, both of which support donations from church fund-raising activities, private donors and the Diocese of Exeter’.
He said the trust was one of the UK’s largest grant-making charities, having given more than £16m to churches, charities and communities in 2018. Its funds came from its ownership of Ecclesiastical Insurance Group.

Martin added: ‘When current restrictions on the safe use of the church have been lifted, the vicar, the Very Reverend Dr Christopher Hardwick, will be holding a special service to celebrate and commission the new system.’
