Stewards
Would you like to volunteer as a Church Steward?
Many visitors come into our beautiful church and it is important that there is someone present to welcome them. Some visitors may have questions or perhaps just value a friendly chat. We usually restart stewarding the church after Easter and continue to September.
We always need volunteers to join our rota, so please contact Catherine Stoate by emailing churchwardena@tavistockparishchurch.org.uk if you would like to know more. Could you also please give some idea of days and times and frequency which you may be able to offer?
We are going to ensure that stewards are always on duty in pairs, and we will offer some straightforward training- on fire safety, first aid and safeguarding.
Being available for all the many visitors to our church is a very important mission of our church, and a real service to the community.
